The next project for games proposal is to create a professional level design, meeting with the tutor today we went over 8 steps to creating the pre-production for a level, i will be posting for each of these points to show the process and thoughts I've gone through while designing a level around my theme with is religion and the afterlife.

Step 1- Ideas
My theme for games proposal is religion and the afterlife, even though this is the main theme that I have chosen for this module it doesn’t mean that it has to be 100% to this idea, it’s just a starting point, a stimuli where ideas can be generated from and developed into something more interesting and original than they may have first seemed.  Even so I chose the theme of religion and the afterlife because it does interest me and I think it has hundreds of avenues to go down, religion is almost like a story but something people have faith in, even dedicate their whole lives to or start wars over their faith. Religion can do many things to people; maybe it’s the unknown that interests people as no one actually knows if there is an afterlife nor is there any proof, but people still choose to have faith in something, and to be honest I think most people weather they admit it or not want to believe there is something after death, something greater than life.

One core idea that I want to play around with for my level design is faith, having faith in something you’re not exactly sure how it works or what it is but for some reason you believe in it or trust it. This is something that really interests me and intrigues me as a person, I am excited to explore and develop these ideas into something that is actually playable to see how different people react or to see if all people react the same when they are faced with challenges and obstacles.

Definition: Faith is belief with strong conviction; firm belief in something for which there may be no tangible proof; complete trust in or devotion to. Faith is the opposite of doubt.

Faith is possibly the single-most important element of the Christian life. Hebrews 11:6 states, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

 Example
Here i found an example of faith, i purposely chose an image that not about religion because that's the obvious part that could be implied in the level, but its more the idea of faith i want to explore, I've already looked into faith and what it means so i can see how this relates to many more things in life that everyday people could encounter even if their not religious, trust is a big part of faith. In the image below the young child could be afraid to jump but he will because he has a parent, someone he trusts to know that you will always be safe. i really want to push this idea of trust and having faith in something.
